1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using Heart & Core, you agree to these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Purpose of Heart & Core

Heart & Core is designed to help users organize food, understand available nutrition information, plan meals, manage pantry items, explore recipes, prepare shopping plans, and consider general wellness information.

Heart & Core is intended for general informational, educational, food-planning, and wellness purposes. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate, or prevent disease or any medical condition.

3. No medical advice

Heart & Core is not a healthcare provider. Nothing provided through Heart & Core constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, clinical nutrition therapy, prescription, or professional healthcare advice.

Do not disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking professional care because of information provided by Heart & Core.

4. Your choice and responsibility

Heart & Core may provide suggestions, comparisons, observations, recipes, meal ideas, pantry guidance, nutrition information, or wellness suggestions. These are informational suggestions, not commands or medical instructions.

You make the final decision about whether and how to use them.

You remain responsible for decisions involving your food, allergies, nutrition, dietary restrictions, medical conditions, medications, physical activity, food safety, and overall health.

5. Food, ingredient, and nutrition information

Heart & Core may use information entered by users or obtained from third-party data sources. Nutrition, ingredient, product, and barcode information may be incomplete, outdated, unavailable, or incorrect.

Heart & Core does not intentionally invent missing nutrition information. When reliable information is unavailable, it may be shown as unknown or incomplete. Always review the actual product label when ingredient, allergy, or nutrition accuracy is important.

6. Allergies and dietary restrictions

Heart & Core is not a substitute for professional allergy or dietary guidance and cannot guarantee that a suggested recipe, product, or ingredient is appropriate for every person. You are responsible for reviewing ingredients, labels, preparation methods, and cross-contact risks before consuming food.

7. Food safety and package dates

Heart & Core is not a food-safety inspection or certification service. Best-by dates, use-by dates, pantry dates, freshness indicators, and “use soon” notices are organizational information and are not guarantees that food is safe or unsafe to consume.

8. Artificial intelligence

Some Heart & Core features may use artificial intelligence. AI-generated information can contain mistakes, omissions, or unexpected results. Use reasonable judgment and independently verify important information, particularly information involving allergies, medical conditions, nutrition, food safety, or healthcare.

9. Accounts and security

You are responsible for maintaining control of your account and for activity occurring through your account. You agree to provide reasonably accurate information when using features that depend on information you enter.

10. Acceptable use

You may not use Heart & Core to access another person’s account without authorization, interfere with the service, bypass security protections, introduce malicious software, scrape protected user information, or use the service in violation of applicable law.

11. Intellectual property

Heart & Core’s software, branding, original designs, original content, logos, interfaces, and other intellectual property belong to Heart & Core or its licensors unless otherwise indicated. Users retain ownership of information they provide, subject to the limited rights needed to operate and provide the service.

12. Third-party services

Heart & Core may rely on third-party infrastructure, authentication providers, artificial-intelligence services, nutrition/product databases, hosting providers, and other technology providers. Heart & Core is not responsible for independent third-party services outside its control.

13. Service availability and changes

Heart & Core may modify, improve, suspend, or discontinue features as the service develops. Heart & Core does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

14. Disclaimer of warranties

To the extent permitted by law, Heart & Core is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties that all information will always be complete, accurate, available, or suitable for every individual circumstance.

15. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Heart & Core and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar damages resulting from use of or reliance on the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

16. Termination

Heart & Core may suspend or terminate accounts used fraudulently, unlawfully, abusively, or in ways that threaten users or the service. You may stop using Heart & Core at any time.

17. Changes to these terms

These Terms may be updated as Heart & Core develops. Material changes will be communicated as appropriate, and the “Last updated” date will be revised.

18. Governing law

Unless applicable law requires otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States.
